Youth Mental Health Screening

Thanks for your interest in attending Davis County's Mental Health Screening Nights for Youth. The events are a free opportunity for youth of all ages.  Parents must be present.  A separate registration is required for each child that will be participating.

Students grades 7-12 will be seen at Viewmont High School in Bountiful on September 25th

Students grades PreK-6 will be seen at Davis Behavioral Health in Layton on October 1st.

On the night of the event, the youth will complete an online screening survey.  The screening will address social and emotional needs and strengths, depression, anxiety, trauma, and suicide.  The screening is not a full psychological evaluation and a clinical diagnosis will not be made.  For children 2nd grade and younger, parents will be provided a paper questionnaire.

At the appointment, youth and their parents will meet with a mental health professional to discuss screening results and talk about what follow-up is needed.  Community resources will be sharing information about their services.  Refreshments will be provided.

If you have any questions about the event or trouble registering please call Angie Smith @ 801-336-1742.
