Prior to registering for these trainings, your school administrator and counselor need to have attended a Mindfulness Orientation, and signed the implementation agreement.

 

 

Foundation in Mindfulness - Level 1

 
The central objective of taking a level one foundation course is to introduce mindfulness and help you cultivate a personal practice. 
 
Mindfulness Fundamentals
 

In this six week online course, you will learn the basics of mindfulness meditation through a series of videos, reading, reflection, and guided mindfulness practice.  This course also covers current scientific research on mindfulness and the brain, emotion regulation and compassion.  This course is facilitated by a highly experienced guding teacher who directs the learning process by answering questions, providing ongoing feedback, and synthesizing emerging themes.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

In this eight week in-person Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, you will learn how to actively engage in and improve your ability to take better care of your own health and well-being and discover peace of mind, a sense of balance, and the ability to manage and enjoy life on a day to day basis.  Learn to explore your physical, mental and emotional experiences and how they're connected.  Learn how to work with stress, anxiety, pain, illness and everyday challenges in a new way.  Learn how to develop and strengthen inner resources for coping, growing, and healing.

 

 

A foundation course in mindfulness is required before proceeding to level two.  

 
Mindful Schools Curriculum Training - Level 2

Mindful Educator Essentials

This course trains participants in teaching the Mindful Schools K-12 Curriculum.  Prerequiste: Level 1 Mindfulness Foundation Course.
